The ProblemI've been creating a sort of digital board game for Android in Unity. Having arrived at the part where I needed to implement multiplayer, I was faced with a dilemma. How will these players find one anothers' games and connect to play? How will they invite friends? How will I identify them? How will their moves synchronize between devices? I think it's pretty interesting that, early in our careers as young budding software engineers, we are told that "write comments to explain why -- not what -- you are doing", and I, at least, have never really challenged or evaluated that bit of wisdom. I like unit tests for testing my web services. They're fast, and they give me confidence that a little bit of code does what I think it does. I like integration tests for testing my web services.
